post cards from palacios
we spent the morning and afternoon in palacios, texas yesterday. palacios is located somewhere in between houston and corpus christi and is a small shrimping and fishing town. it is set right on the water of the gulf of mexico at matagorda bay. it's beaches are all made up of crushed and whole oyster shells so it's not a barefoot beach, but the views are beautiful and we were blessed with silvery clouds and a couple of brief showers. i'm also blessed with friends like cheryl, (pictured in the bottom photo with me as we both took a photo of ourselves reflected in an abandoned building window) who has moved heaven and earth to make sure i'm okay. i'm working on getting okay.
